Arrangements for ‘kolu’ at 1,000-pillar mandapam

A special ‘kolu’ called as “Ramanujar 1000” will be arranged at Sri Ranganathaswamy temple in Srirangam and the temple authorities are making arrangements to accommodate different anecdotes that took place in the life of Sri Ramanujar.

The ‘kolu’ will not only form the Navarathiri celebrations but also signify the 1,000th birth anniversary of Sri Ramanujar. Illuminated lights adorn the entire the 1,000 pillar mandapam — the spacious venue at the temple facilitating the devotees to have the glimpse of the anecdotes. The entry and exit point will be regulated in such a manner that the devotees can understand the life and philosophy of the Acharya.
