Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan will be featured as a twin character in Twinergy, a 3D animation film under production at the Technopark-based studio of Toonz Animation India.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, P. Jayakumar, CEO of Toonz Animation said the film directed by Priyadarsan was expected to be released in November 2010. The pre-production work is over, he said.
Bachchan’s voice too
The Rs.20-crore project will be the biggest Indian film project taken up by the company so far. Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited has released the rights to use Mr. Bachchan’s voice and portray him as a character in Twinergy.
The film tells the story of two cities, one on the ground and the other in the sky, united by an energy field and divided by nature.
A royal family brings twin brothers into its fold. Exploiting the divisions in this world, the king’s brother, a greedy, power-hungry man, will destroy everything to attain the ultimate secrete power of their world.
The only ones who can stop him are the twin warriors Dhruva and Vajra, who are unfortunately separated by jealousy and secrecy. The twins ultimately join hands to save the two cities from mutual destruction.
