Track-doubling work

Trains to be regulated on Saturday.

Trains via Kottayam will be regulated on January 23 to take up doubling work on Piravam Road-Kuruppanthara stretch.

Train 56385 Kottayam Passenger leaving Ernakulam Junction at 7.10 a.m. and its return trip (5690) from Kottayam at 5.20 p.m. and 66307 Kollam MEMU leaving Ernakulam at 5.25 a.m. and its return trip (66308) from Kollam at 11.10 a.m. have been cancelled, according to Railways. Train 12623 Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram Mail will be diverted via Alappuzha with stoppages at Ernakulam Junction, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalappuzha, and Haripad.

Train 56392 Ernakulam Passenger leaving Kollam Junction at 4.20 a.m. and 56387 Kayamkulam Passenger leaving Ernakulam at 11.30 a.m. will be partially cancelled between Kottayam and Ernakulam.

On Saturday, 16526 Bengaluru-Kanyakumari Express will be detained at Piravom Road for one hour. Train 16302 Venad Express towards Shoranur will be detained for 40 minutes at Kottayam/Ettumanur.

Train 12634 Kanyakumari-Chennai Egmore Express scheduled to leave Kanyakumari at 5.20 p.m. will have a late start by 30 minutes as the rake of Bengaluru-Kanyakumari Express is to be utilised for running the Chennai Express.
