Three coaches of the 12617 Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Mangala Express that left Ernakulam on Saturday derailed near Pen railway station, Maharashtra, at 6.10 p.m. on Sunday.

No one was injured in the accident that happened when the train was just leaving the station, a railway spokesman said. Three coaches-S-9, S-10 and the pantry car of the Delhi-bound train derailed. The train had left Ernakulam at 1.15 p.m. on February 28.

The site of the derailment is 80 km from Mumbai. The train was just gaining speed when the accident occurred, he said.
