SBT launches new account for NRIs

The State Bank of Travancore has launched a new product, ‘SBT NRI Platinum’ Account, intended for NRIs, with value added features of personalised multicity cheques and Gold Visa International Debit Card.

Services on collection, fund transfer and remittance are available free of charges for these accounts. SBT Gold Visa Card forming part of the package can be used for daily withdrawing of cash from ATM up to a limit of Rs.50,000 or USD. 1000 and for purchasing from merchant establishments/point of sales up to a daily limit of Rs.2 lakhs. It also covers for complementary insurance of Rs.2 lakhs for accidental death and Rs.5000 for purchase protection. The new facility can be available by maintaining an average quarterly balance of Rs.1 lakh in NRI Savings Bank Account or Rs.10 lakhs put together in Savings Bank/Fixed Deposit/FCNR. The product is available to new as well as existing customers at all the branches of SBT.
