June 28, 2016 12:00 am | Updated September 16, 2016 04:49 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

The Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) has decided to extend the validity of all rank lists that are less than four-and-a-half years old for six months.

The decision was made at a meeting of the commission here on Monday. As per the decision, the validity of 300 rank lists that are less than four-and-half years will be extended for six months from June 30.

Those lists which have crossed this tenure would not have legal validity. Earlier, the Cabinet had requested the commission to extend the rank lists to complement its decision to lift the freeze on recruitment and expedite vacancy reporting from various departments, public sector undertakings and other autonomous institutions.

But for the universities, most other appointing authorities had reported to the Cabinet directive and reported the vacancies in their ambit to the commission.
