The origin

C-DIT was set up in December 1988 as an offshoot of the Kerala State Film Development Corporation. It subsequently diversified into Information Technology applications including software development and provision of IT enabled services. C-DIT, which has been hosting and maintaining the State government web portal www.kerala.gov.in, apart from the websites of over 200 government and autonomous organisations, was also behind the round-the-clock live streaming from the Chief Minister’s office.
