The live webcast of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s mass contact programme in Thiruvananthapuram through his official website keralacm.gov.in on Thursday was viewed by thousands of people including the Karnataka Chief Minister V. Sadananda Gowda.

The programme had lasted 15 hours and the site received a record number of 3.68 lakh hits during this period, an official release said here on Friday. The Karanataka Chief Minister, it said, viewed the webcast as he is also planning live webcast from his office like the Kerala Chief Minister.

On seeing the success of the webcasts in the past, Mr. Gowda had entrusted the task of setting up similar systems in his office to the Kerala State agency, Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT), here which is doing the webcast from Mr. Chandy’s office. The preparations for webcast from the Vidhana Soudha in Bangalore is underway, the release said.
