Mangalore: Hunt on for Kadri Park murder accused

The Mangalore East police are searching for the persons allegedly involved in the murder of 35-year-old bus owner Anish Shetty near Kadri park on Friday.

A group of persons reportedly attacked Anish Shetty when he was talking with a person in connection with a land in Shaktinagar. The assaulters threatened Shetty’s friends against intervening during the attack.

The police suspect involvement of Hemant, who is involved in a number of criminal cases, in the murder. Hemant and Anish Shetty were allegedly associated with underworld operative Koraga Vishwanath Shetty.

Drowned

A 78-year-old man was found dead in a well near a house off the Sultan Battery Road on Saturday. The police said Rama Tailor was not seen in the house on Saturday morning. His son Nalin Kumar searched around and reportedly found his father’s body in the well. The Fire and Emergency Services personnel were called to fish out the body, the police said.
