Celebrating 50 years of the unity of the various Christian denominations in the city, the golden jubilee year of the Mangalore Christian Council was marked with gaiety and pomp in Mangalore on Thursday.

Catholic, Protestant, and Anglican priests among others shared the dais while exalting the work done by the Council for uniting the community “despite the wide diversity”.

They reminded the devotees that although there exists difference, the Lord they prayed to was the same.

A book on A Brief History of the Mangalore Christian Council was released on the occasion.
