The Principal District and Sessions Judge Uma M.G. on Thursday found Tejaksha (29), a bus conductor, guilty of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old boy.

According to the charge sheet filed by the Surathkal police, Tejaksha had threatened the boy while he was walking towards his house after getting down at a bus-stop. He then took the boy to an isolated place at Palkilachhilu on September 30, 2013, and forced the boy to have sex with him. He then threatened the boy that he would kill him if he reported the incident to anyone.

The boy narrated the incident to his mother, who filed a police complaint. The Surathkal police arrested Tejaksha and filed the charge sheet in November 2013.

The judge convicted Tejaksha under Sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 377 (unnatural offences) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. She also convicted Tejaksha under Sections 4 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The judge will be hearing on the quantum of sentence on Saturday.
