As part of the National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Week conceived by the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage (TWAD) Board, Collector L. Subramanian flagged off a rally here on Tuesday.

The awareness week, which is being observed from March 16 to 22, will have programmes to raise awareness among the public of the importance of water quality, cleanliness and hygiene as well as rainwater harvesting and other techniques to conserve water resources.
