Tamil Nadu Chamber to send trade delegation to US

The Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry is going to send a trade delegation for the first time to the United States comprising entirely of women entrepreneurs drawn from its WE forum.

Addressing a press conference in Madurai on Thursday, chamber senior president S. Rethinavelu said that WE forum had already held discussions with the University of Iowa.

The delegation would taking part in the conference to be organised by the University of Iowa.

The WE Chairperson, Rajkumari Jeevagan, will address several organisations and meetings in the U.S., he added.

Besides holding discussions with major industries, the conference would also provide an opportunity to interact with the small industries and university students.

Besides Ms. Rajkumari Jeevagan, the delegation comprises Rajam Jeyakannan, Ms. Vanitha, Ms. Divya, Ms. Mahalakshmi and Ms. Sandhya, according to a press note.
