As part of a safety campaign, Divisional Railway Manager A.K. Goel conducted a surprise inspection at an unmanned level crossing near Silaiman on Friday.

Along with Additional Divisional Railway Manager T. Venkatasubramanian, he interacted with road users and distributed pamphlets containing norms to be followed at unmanned level crossings for safe passage. The officials targeted drivers of vans and autorickshaws that were transporting school students.

Posters and stickers were displayed at vantage points near unmanned level crossings and school buses. Divisional Safety Officer K.S. Lakshmanan and Assistant Security Commissioner-Railway Protection Force F. Philips Jayakumar were present.
