When a group of women raised objections to the functioning of a liquor shop-cum-bar near their locality, Mr. Sagayam directed the authorities to conduct a survey in the district and relocate the shops to places where there was no objection. “Outskirts of the city should be a preferred location for these outlets,” the public said.

His son agreed to pay Rs. 1,000 a month. The Collector directed the Village Administrative Officer to visit the old man's place periodically and check whether he was taken care of well.
Petitions seeking house site pattas were directed to the officials concerned. The Collector gave away a cheque for Rs. 10,000 to a petitioner for starting a footwear unit. A few others were given away orders for Old Age Pension (OAP) at the meeting. Vehicles for differently abled persons were sanctioned and for those who sought jobs, the Collector gave guidance.
