An All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) functionary has approached the Madras High Court Bench here seeking a direction to Kanyakumari police to register a case against Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) treasurer M.K. Stalin for having allegedly visited a Public Works Department guest house in the district during his recent election campaign.

When the case came up for hearing on Tuesday, Justice G.M. Akbar Ali directed a government counsel to obtain instructions from the police, and adjourned the hearing by a week. K.G. Uthayakumar, AIADMK secretary of Vilavancode Legislative segment, had filed the case accusing Mr. Stalin of having taken rest in the guest house for about 20 minutes on March 14.

The complainant alleged that former Minister N. Suresh Rajan and other DMK leaders also accompanied Mr. Stalin during the visit. Though he lodged a complaint as early as on March 15, the police did not act upon it till date, he claimed.
