The annual mustering exercise for those receiving pension or family pension through district and sub-treasuries will begin on April 3.
An official statement said the beneficiaries should appear at the office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on working days with pension book (original and photocopy), Aadhaar card (copy), savings bank account passbook (copy) and ration card (copy). Pensioners paying income tax should submit permanent account number (PAN) and beneficiaries getting family pension should submit ‘No remarriage certificate’ and income certificate.
Instead of appearing in person in the district treasury or sub-treasuries, the beneficiaries can also register their Aadhaar number in www.jeevanpraman.gov.in and this facility can be availed in the government e-service centres.
Pensioners or family pension beneficiaries who cannot come for mustering should submit the ‘life certificate,’ a specimen of which could be downloaded from www.tn.gov.in.karuvoolam.
Pension will be stopped from August for those who fail to appear between April and June or submit ‘life certificate,’ the statement said.
