Vickramangalam police have booked a 17-year-old boy for having sexually assaulted a minor girl on Tuesday.
Police said that the boy, studying Plus Two, intercepted the girl studying Plus One while she was returning home after attending tuition class and forcibly took her into his house around 7.30 p.m.. When her parents came in search of her, the crime came to light. The police said that the girl had been friendly with the boy. The boy was booked under the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
The boy and his family members were absconding, the police said.
