A five-member Central government team led by Pravesh Sharma arrived here on Monday to inspect drought conditions.
The team members, accompanied by revenue officials from the district, would visit Kalikaapaan and proceed to Sivaganga district on Tuesday.
The monthly farmers’ grievance meeting will be held on May 8 (Wednesday) at the Collectorate, said an official from the agriculture department here on Monday. Collector Anshul Mishra will preside over the meeting.
