Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath organised special meetings in six places in Madurai, on Sunday, where hundreds of Muslims gathered and prayed for rains.

The special prayer meetings were held in Nelpettai, Goripalayam, B.B.Kulam, Anna Nagar, Villapuram and L.K.T. Nagar at around 7.30 a.m.

“The drought is becoming intense in Tamil Nadu and the prayers were organised to bring downpour and relief to the people”, H. Shahul, president of Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath, Madurai, said.

Hundreds of women and children took part in the prayers.
