The Cochin Golf Club’s renovated club house was inaugurated at Bolghatty on Saturday. The club, established in 1922, is situated at the picturesque Bolghatty Palace grounds, home to one of the oldest existing palaces built by the Dutch in India. The renovated club house was inaugurated by Tourism Principal Secretary V. Venu. President of the club, Joseph Thomas, presided over the meeting, which was attended by prominent golfers in the city and the office-bearers of the club, said an official release. The club house, which was in a bad shape, was renovated at a cost of Rs.10 lakh.
