The Health Department will distribute deworming tablets to all children in the age group of 1 to 19 on Thursday. A total of 7,15,175 children will be provided tablets. The district-level inauguration will be held at St. Albert’s Higher Secondary School at 1 p.m. in which Mayor Soumini Jain will participate.
Jancy George, Standing Committee (Health) Chairperson, district panchayat, will preside over the function.
The tablets will be given to all anganwadis, playschools, CBSE, ICSE schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, government, government-aided, and unaided schools.
The Health Department is organising the programme with the support of the Education Department, Social Justice Department, and local self-government institutions.
