Model polling stations will be set up in all the nine Assembly constituencies in the district in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
The model polling stations will have a location map and a helpdesk to assist the voters. An enclosure with seating facility for 50 persons will be arranged.
There will be first aid box and information will be given on ways to prevent sun stroke and diseases arsing out of intense heat.
Arrangements to provide drinking water will be made.
Wheelchair will be made available to assist aged and physically challenged voters. The services of National Cadet Corps and student police cadets will be made available. Separate toilet facility for male and female voters will be arranged.
The voters will be requested to write down their comments on the model station, for which materials will be provided.

Ambalappuzha: Kalarkode Government UPS; Punnapra Government JBS; and Purakkad LF LPS
Kuttanad: Champakkulam St. Mary’s HS; Champakkulam Thekkekkara Government HS; Talavady New Government LPS; Edathua St. Aloysius School; and Thakazhy Sivasankara Pillai Memorial Government UPS.
Haripad: Anari Brahmananda Vilasam LPS; Mannarasala UPS; Pallippad Government ITI; and Cheppad Government LPBS.
Kayamkulam: Ramapram Government HS; Peringala CSLPS; and Devikulangara Thekke Anjilimoodu Government LPS.
