A woman and her two daughters were killed and her husband suffered multiple injuries when their old house collapsed on them at Medara Basti in Kothagudem in the early hours of Thursday.
According to sources, Sudha Rani, 30, and her daughters Bhargavi, 9, and Keertana, 7, were crushed to death when the roof of their old house caved in while they were fast asleep in the early hours.
Govardhan, husband of Sudha, was injured in the incident. He was rescued by the Fire Department and Police personnel from the debris of the collapsed house.
The three-town police registered a case and launched a detailed probe to ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
