Three lives were lost in road accidents at Miyapur and Ghatkesar while nine persons sustained injuries in another road crash at Batasingaram of Hayathnagar on Monday.
A speeding lorry coming from Allwyn crossroads to Chandanagar rammed into roadside huts at Madinaguda in Miyapur around 4 a.m. Two persons sleeping in their respective huts, Ch. Srinivas, 30, and Adeebabu, 30, died on the spot. Srinivas’s siblings, Krishnamurthy and Suresh, sustained injuries.
In another accident, a three-wheeler driver D. Surender, 40, died after a car hit him while he was crossing the road near Edulabad bridge in Ghatkesar. Death was instant for him. He was a resident of Ramanthapur.
Nine persons, including two children, sustained injuries when a car going from Hyderabad to Guntur hit an oncoming Scorpio vehicle on the other side of the divider at Batasingaram of Hayathnagar.
