‘State hospitals need a boost’

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday discussed measures to pull patients to government hospitals rather than their going to corporate and private hospitals.

At a meeting to finalise the budget allocations for medical and health, women and child welfare and horticulture departments with their heads, Mr. Rao wanted higher allocation for popular hospitals like Niloufer and maternity institution at Sultan Bazaar.

The meeting also discussed budget for Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences in Warangal.

He asked officials to consider changes in law for security of women.
