SSC student ends life

A 10th standard student ended his life by hanging in his house at Durganagar of Amberpet on Thursday after his parents chided him over poor performance in studies, the police said.

Fifteen-year-old Nithin Johnson was studying in a private school at Kachiguda. The school teachers, a few days ago, had informed his parents that he was not focussing on studies.

Two days ago, they asked his parents to come to the school and suggested to them that they provide private tuition classes for Nithin at home. The boy's parents reprimanded him for not focusing on his studies.

“On Thursday morning, the boy hanged himself in the house,” Amberpet Inspector A.P. Anand Kumar said.
