‘Auron ke paas, apnon se dur’, a play in Hindi by employees of the Hyderabad division of the South Central Railway (SCR), was awarded first prize in the Zonal Hindi Drama Competition, while the second prize went to a play ‘Chinti ki Jeet’ enacted by the Vijayawada division.
S. Likhita of the Vijayawada div. bagged the Best Actress Award, and J. Srinivas walked away with the Best Actor Award for his role in the play ‘Taj Mahal ka Tender’ staged by the headquarters office on the second and concluding day of the competition.
Additional General Manager, South Central Railway, A.K. Gupta, Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari and Principal Chief Engineer, SCR, S.N. Singh were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the timings of the Gudur-Secunderabad-Gudur Simhapuri Express have been revised, with effect from October 1. Train No. 12709 Gudur-Secunderabad Express will leave Gudur at 6.50 p.m. instead of 10.10 p.m. and reach Secunderabad at 5.40 a.m. instead of 8.35 a.m.
In the opposite direction, it will leave Secunderabad at 10.55 p.m. and reach Gudur at 8.50 a.m. instead of 9.20 a.m.
