Students of Osmania University strongly objected to the reported remarks of the Home Minister, Nayani Narsimha Reddy, that they not had passed any examination but yet were seeking jobs.

Students led by various groups gathered at Arts College and staged protest against the remarks. As a part of the protest they threw vegetables at the posters of Mr. Reddy and asked him to withdraw the remarks immediately. Manavata Roy, a student leader, said that Mr. Reddy’s remarks were insulting and showed his lack of awareness about issues and the role of students in the Telangana agitation.
