In a bid to facilitate greater synergy with the developer community, Oracle has launched an ‘Internet of Things (IoT) Developer Challenge’, a competition that bids them use Java Embedded to develop connected applications using computer boards and devices.

The contest is open to engineering students, the Java developer community and software professionals. The top three will get a chance to participate in JaveOne, to be held in San Francisco from September 28 to October 2. The last date for submission of applications is May 30, and winners will be announced on June 30. For details, visit www.java.net/challenge
