The Punjagutta police arrested V. Sridhar, financial controller of NIMS along with an attender Ravi Kumar, on charge of stealing a file from the hospital. The police said that Sridhar was placed under suspension by the NIMS authorities in May over some financial irregularities that took place during his tenure.

A committee was constituted to enquire Sridhar’s role. “The committee submitted its report recently and the file was in the custody of HR Department. Fearing disciplinary action against him, Sridhar with the help of Ravi Kumar stole file,” the police said.

Basing on a complaint lodged by NIMS authorities, police registered a case and arrested the duo.
