Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said the Mission Bhagiratha is an excellent programme which will address the drinking water problems of the people across the State. He said that the good programmes taken up by the Telangana Government would be replicated in their State.
Accompanied by Chief Secretary V.K. Singh, Mr. Suhuil Kumar visited Komatibanda and Erravalli villages in Gajwel constituency, being represented by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
While Komatibanda stands for Mission Bhagiratha programme which was formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the past, Erravalli stands for the construction of double bed-room houses for the first time in the State. Both are flagship programmes of the State Government.
“Mission Bhagiratha has been resembling the effort made by sage Bhagiratha to bring river Ganga. Trying to supply water to every house by spending as much as ₹ 47,000 crore in three years is herculean task which must be appreciated,” said Mr. Sushil Kumar.
He has also visited education hub being constructed at Gajwel town and double bed-room houses constructed at Erravalli. He has also interacted with the beneficiaries.
Mission Bhagiratha Chief E ngineer Vijaya Prakash, Commercial Tax Chief Engineer Somesh Kumar, Collector P. Venkataram Reddy, GADA Special Officer M Hanumantha Rao and others have participated in the programme.
