Miscreants made an unsuccessful bid to break an ATM belonging to the UCO Bank at Yakutpura and steal cash from the machine. According to the police, the offenders entered into the unmanned ATM centre and damaged the CCTV cameras installed inside the premises. They then tried to open the cash chest but could not succeed. On receipt of information, the Rein Bazaar police rushed to the spot and called up the bank officials. Officials later confirmed that no cash was missing. Special teams have been formed to nab the offenders.
Chain snatchedTwo motorcycle borne miscreants snatched a gold chain from a woman at Rakshapuram in Santoshnagar on Monday morning. The victim, B Manjula was walking on the road when the miscreants struck and snatched her gold chain and sped away.
