K. Meenakshi (28) was murdered allegedly by her husband Srinivas at their house at KPHB Colony on Wednesday night. The couple got married seven months ago, the police said.
The police said Srinivas returned home in an inebriated condition last night and picked up an argument with Meenakshi over a family dispute.
An enraged Srinivas attacked her with a stick resulting in grievous head injuries.
Death was instant for Meenakshi, the police said, adding that the accused escaped after committing the crime.
