The YSR Congress has dared Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to agree to an inquiry by the CBI, or by a sitting High Court Judge into the charges of corruption his government is facing if he is firm that he is providing clean governance.

YSR Congress MLA R.K. Roja said the party was prepared to submit proof it had about the rampant corruption in the government if Mr. Naidu came forward to face an inquiry. “We have relevant proof and we will submit it whenever a high-level probe is ordered,” she said.

Ms. Roja alleged that the corrupt practices encouraged by the present dispensation had tarnished the image of ‘Brand Andhra Pradesh’ in the investor community.

But the ruling Telugu Desam leaders were making baseless allegations against YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“Mr. Naidu joined hands with his political adversary and Congress president Sonia Gandhi to order a probe against Mr. Jagan,” she alleged.

She said that the ‘save democracy’ campaign launched by the YSR Congress was successful and the corrupt practices of Mr. Naidu’s Government had become a topic of debate in the political circles at the national level.

Taken aback by the response to the campaign, Mr. Naidu was casting aspersions on the main Opposition claiming that it was harming the interests of the State.

She dismissed the claims that YSRC MLAs were deserting on the grounds that there was no internal democracy in the party.
