The body of 18-year-old Sai Dhanush Reddy, a 12th standard student from Hyderabad, who drowned after accidentally falling off the decks of an off-shore casino after midnight on Saturday, was found on Monday afternoon.

The city police said the Goa Marine Police found the body about a kilometre away from the casino vessel, at Miramar.

Reddy, along with four friends including his elder brother, had arrived in Goa on Saturday on a holiday. They had gone to Casino Carnival anchored in the river Mandovi on Saturday evening.

According to a complaint lodged by the brother of the deceased, Shiva Chaitanya Reddy, Reddy slipped from the second deck of the Casino Carnival boat when he had gone to the toilet and fell into the river.

Complaint

The complaint has named captain of the boat M. S. Fernandes , manager Spancar Cuuilidoll, the security in-charge, and management of Casino Carnival boat for endangering human life and failing to provide safety and rescue measures.

The police registered an offence against the casino management for negligence and investigations are on. The police said on Monday evening that after the post-mortem was conducted, the body will be handed over to the family of the deceased.
