The main entrance of the historic Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam is all set for a makeover. Work on decorating the main gateway with brass sheets is progressing in full swing, said temple deputy executive engineer V. Ravinder.

A reputed cement company has volunteered to bear the entire expenditure of the brass sheet embossing work to give a “gleaming look” to the entrance leading to the sanctum sanctorum , temple sources said.

Temple authorities have roped in artisans specialised in metal craft from Pembarthi of Jangaon district and Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh to carry out the intricate work.

Almost 90% of the beautification work is expected to be completed by this month end, said Mr. Ravinder, adding that elaborate arrangements are being made at the Midhila Stadium, where the Sitarama Kalyana Mahotsavam will be held on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami in the temple town on March 26.
