German intellectual prowess will be on show at the Sultan-ul-Uloom Educational Society from Friday as a part of the “Excellence on Tour 2013”, an initiative of the German government and German House for Research and Innovation.
The eight-day show will showcase the various research opportunities available in Germany and give the audience a chance to directly interact with the participating German institutions, German Ambassador to India Michael Steiner said at a press conference here on Thursday.
The “DWIH Info Session – Study & Research in Germany” will give information about the German educational and research landscape though interactive exchanges. Visitors will also get information on admission requirements, financial support, visa procedures, German language, Indo-German business relations and more.
The session on “Make it in Germany” will inform interested candidates about living and working in Germany, including job opportunities in the fields of natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics and show them the way to Germany.
Torsten Fischer, Director, German Research Foundation (DFG) said that funding opportunities for Indo-German projects and fellowships would also be explained and those active in research areas would benefit from the sessions.
Prof. Goverdhan Mehta, National Research Chair at University of Hyderabad and Zafar Zaveed, Hon. Secretary, Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology also spoke.
