First EAMCET of Telangana peaceful

Save for a few instances of candidates arriving late to the examination centres and not allowed inside, the engineering stream of the first Engineering & Medical Common Entrance Test – 2015 of the Telangana State saw 1,28,174 students attending.

Altogether 1,39,682 got themselves registered and of them 11,508 candidates were absent. Earlier, several roads leading to the EAMCET centres were choked with traffic early on Thursday morning, with many engineering candidates reaching their centres with their parents much before the exam started.

With the test passing-off peacefully, the engineering students were out of their centres by 1.30 p.m., after which entrance exam for the medical colleges were to begin their exam. The medical entrance exam will conclude at 5 p.m.
