Dalit stalwarts’ lives to be included in school syllabus

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has announced that lives of three well-known Dalit leaders of the State – J. Eshwari Bai, Bhagya Reddy Varma and G. Venkataswamy will be included in school syllabus so that future generations remember their contribution to the society.

Speaking after presenting the Eshwari Bai Memorial Award-2015 to retired IAS officer Krishnan, the Chief Minister said future generations must know how Eshwari Bai and Venkataswamy fought on behalf of people and how Bhagya Reddy worked for the uplift of Dalits.
