The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is making efforts to let hotels and restaurants be used as public toilets. The civic body has taken up a special programme for utilizing the toilets of these commercial establishments for the convenience of the citizens of the twin cities.

The officials on Wednesday interacted with the owners of the hotels and asked them to allow toilets as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.

About 100 representatives of hotels assured the officials that they will extend their cooperation in this matter and also arrange display boards for proper utilization of their facility.

As part of the unique drive, Municipal Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy visited Chutneys Hotel at Secunderabad and interacted with the hotel management. The management agreed to support and also gave a representation to the Commissioner conveying their willingness to be part of the initiative.
