The State Government and KEF Infra, a pioneer in off-site manufacturing, hope that 10,000 ‘locals’ would get employment at the park that their joint venture proposes on the city outskirts for making construction and building material.
“We will allot 250 acres for the park and provide infrastructure like roads, power and industrial water,” said IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday, adding it would attract investments from abroad as well.
Mr. Rama Rao said the Telangana government made it a policy to encourage local manufacturers, citing the examples of vehicle maker Mahindra and other companies making solar panels.KEF Infra founder Faizal E. Kottikollon said his company was investing ₹650 crore in the park.
