Chiranjeevi visits ailing 11-year-old

Actor and Rajya Sabha member K. Chiranjeevi fulfilled the wish of an ailing 11-year-old Balu by visiting the MNJ Cancer Hospital here and spending about 45 minutes with him.

Hailing from Jinnaram in Adilabad district, the boy has been undergoing treatment for bone cancer.

Three days ago, a journalist brought to the notice of Mr. Chiranjeevi that an ardent young fan called Balu had expressed a desire to meet his favourite star.

Accordingly, the Rajya Sabha member visited the hospital on Thursday. Amidst people thronging the hospital premises, all wanting to get as close to the star as they could, he sat with the boy and his attendants telling him that he would soon be cured.

Pulling out a few toy cars from a bag, Mr. Chiranjeevi kept the young boy engaged. Before he left the hospital, he even told the boy that he would soon get well and quipped that he would even be able to shake a leg with the star in his 150th film.
