Allahabad Bank Managing Director and CEO Usha Ananthasubramanian, on her first visit to Hyderabad after assuming charge, reviewed performance of the bank in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, besides interacting with customers.
Thanking customers for their patronage, she invited suggestions from them “with regard to new thoughts in rendering excellent customer service,” a press release from the Bank said. In her address to the officers and staff members, she pointed that customer service in the backbone of the bank.
The Bank is committed to expand its business in both the States, where it has 79 branches at present, Ms. Ananthasubramanian said.
She also highlighted the key strengths of Allahabad Bank, including a strong CASA base, stable NIM, control over fresh slippage of NPA, declining cost of deposits and growth in operating profit during the quarter ended September. She emphasised on SMART (small, micro, agriculture and retail) loans, including MUDRA and Standup India, people development, recovery of over dues and digitisation, the release said.
