Revenue cycle management, healthcare analytics and medical coding services provider AGS Health plans to raise its headcount in India by adding 2,500-3,000 people over the coming 20 months.

As many as 1,500 of the new hires would happen in the next one year, founder and CEO Devendra Saharia said here on Wednesday.

Replying to queries at a press meet, after announcing the opening of AGS’ second facility in Hyderabad, he said the company has offices in the US and in India. Of the total 4,800 people it employed now, all but 25 are in India — at the Chennai, Vellore, Noida and Hyderabad facilities.

The company, as part of diversity planning, looks to add a good number of the proposed hires at its Hyderabad facilities. The new facility can seat over 1,000 employees. Over time analytics and data integration work would be pursued at the new facility that would also have a 90-seater in-house training academy. An investment of $ 3 million has gone into the facility and $2 million is on the anvil.

Since its inception in 2011, the company has invested $10 million in India operations. Over the next five years, it would invest $15 million, Mr.Saharia said, expressing confidence of the company adding more to the 50-member client list in the US.
