Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau have trapped Kurella Village Revenue Officer in Koheda mandal for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.7,000 from a farmer for the issuance of pattadar passbook of his agricultural land on Wednesday.

Bureau DSP T. Sudarshan Goud said that the accused VRO S. Ravinder had been demanding the farmer Gajula Ravinder Rs. 10,000 for the issuance of pattadar passbook for his four acres of land. When the farmer expressed his helplessness to provide such amount, the deal was fixed for Rs 7,000.

The farmer approached the ACB, who laid a trap and arrested the VRO for demanding and accepting the bribe.
