Police on Monday seized 24 kilos of ganja after arresting three persons. Srinu, 25, P. Mahesh, 28, and M. Sagar, 19, were arrested by the Commissioner’s Task Force (East) officials at Sitaphalmandi in Secunderabad, according to a press release.

The trio admitted to the police that they purchased the Ganja from an agent in Warangal district. They wanted to make money by selling it to others in city but were caught by TF sleuths on a tip-off.

In another case, the TF (West) officials arrested two persons who were trying to sell foreign currency notes to others illegally. L. Shekhar, 45, and D. Praveen, 31, procured nine currency notes of two foreign countries through their acquaintances in Vijayawada. They tried to sell these notes to gullible persons claiming that the notes would fetch huge sums if exchanged in international market.
