The Traffic Police personnel were screened for lung capacity function at a health check-up camp set up at the Traffic Police headquarters in Todapur on Monday.

The camp was inaugurated by Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Dependra Pathak. It will continue till Wednesday.

“Traffic Police personnel are vulnerable to lung diseases due to constant intake of poor quality air caused by heavy vehicular traffic. We have already instructed traffic cops to wear masks while on duty,” said Mr Pathak.

A team of doctors and support staff from specialised hospitals conducted diagnostic tests to check blood pressure, pulmonary function and more. Around 500 personnel were examined on Monday.
