Sheila discusses Karbala violence with Police Chief

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday held a meeting with Police Commissioner B. K. Gupta at the Secretariat to assess the latest situation at Karbala and circumstances which led to disturbances there on Sunday. Chief Secretary P.K. Tripathi was also present in the meeting.

The Chief Minister's Office said she instructed the Police Commissioner and the Chief Secretary to ensure peace and take all possible measures to maintain law and order.

Ms. Dikshit also asked the Police Commissioner to keep a close eye on the developments so that no untoward incident threatening peace and harmony takes place.
