Officials of the Delhi government, who have been boycotting meetings with the political executive after the alleged attack on the Chief Secretary by MLAs on February 19, on Sunday said they had been working “through everything”.

The proof, they said, was the over 8,000 certificates of different kinds that the Revenue Department had issued through the offices of the tehsildars and Sub-Divisional Magistrates to citizens from February 20 to 25 (Sunday).

In a tweet by their Twitter handle @DelhiEmployees, the association said on Sunday, “#DelhiChiefSecretary We want to assure Hon’ble LG Delhi, Delhi Govt and all the citizens of Delhi that we all have been fully working in offices and no work has suffered in the past week and shall not suffer in future either. We stay committed in our service to Delhi citizenry [sic]”.

After the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by Aam Aadmi Party MLAs inside Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence on the night of February 19-20, IAS, DANICS and Delhi Administrative Subordinate Service officers have been protesting.

Mr. Kejriwal had said on Friday that the officers skipping meetings had affected governance.

The association on Sunday shared the details of the applications for various certificates processed by the districts under the Revenue Department.

It said: “Delhi Government Employees working for citizenry through everything. Proof positive [sic].”

Along with the tweet, the association shared official data showing that 8,902 certificates were issued, 2,910 rejected and 853 were cancelled by the districts from February 20 to 25 (Sunday).

These certificates include caste certificates, income certificates, domicile certificates and nationality certificates.
